My daily bushcraft

Been horse riding with grandparents and siblings. Unfortunately I left my para cord behind, which ment that when all the horses started eating the grass, I couldn't make grass reins:mad:. Never again...

chopped some logs down to size for my chimenia (spelling? :S) with my parang last night..

harvested about 300kgs of yew......including 2 x 8ft by 6ins very straight, and with few flaws boughs...does that count ? and no i didn't cut myself...good job really i was using chainsaws ;)

the 2 lengths are going to a friend who's making bows...I have dibs on some for my projects, Sar-ian's getting a bit for some knife scales...the rest is going season in the gaffers garden...normally the rest of the timber we get from jobs goes for firewood...the yew is a different matter though

Envious... I wish I had a good bit of yew!

Other woods don't seem to work, and after the old hazel bow snapped, I have nothing to shoot with:(

sounds good buddy... not long ago a huge oak came down in a storm on my gaffers land and we spent about 3 full days processing it... wasnt all bad though got afew weeks worth for my log burner ... just dont tell him haha

Going round the garden with little sisters, id ing the plants. Easy, because I planted them!
