Just checked my mailbox and in it was one molle canteen pouch for my nalgene bottle and olicamp cup. It came without a sling, but have the d-rings for it, so improvised with a bit of rope I had.
And the new "Trangia" burner with pot stand arrived. This one has a simmer ring unlike my old one. And it fits perfectly inside my new solo pot :-)
And finally the new 16gb memory card for my camera came, tripling my capacity. So now I can hopefully have more selections of takes to choose from when making my movies. If only the new spare battery will arrive :-)
Speaking of which or is it witch....will show it all off as soon as I can smuglle it out past SWMBO... :-)
in any case, my new solo cooking kit is now complete - sans a good frying pan with a collapsible handle I have been eying at the local supermarket. But have ahope that my upcoming birthday
will se one of those in my posession...if not I have to break the piggy bank...
what did I do today..
Me and the missus took my dads border terrier to the woods and cooked up a cheapo Vesta paella on my civvy trangia, followed by herbal teas that tasted of plastic, like anything else served in a '58 pattern plastic mug.
She daydreamed in the hammock, whilst I cooked and kept an eye on the wayward hound,
something wrong there ;)
So here it is finally...my new solo cook and brew kit...

I was trying to come up with something that was as un-bulky as possible. The gear I had was to often left at home because it was to bulky to bring.
Also I like the way it carries. Cross carrying to pouches siort of even things out, and is quite comfortable. But when I have to go over to cross country skiing, I think the rucksack will be pressed back into service, as I will need more gear to stay dry and comfy. I.e something to sit on, a dry set of clothes, at least a pullover and some wool socks, and likely my Jerven bag....
But with this set I could make do with a smaller pack :-)
