About Magicdave

Biography:

My name is Dave, over the years I’ve had loads of interests. As a kid, without realising it, I was involved in bushcraft through “The Cub Scouts” and later in hillwalking/wild camping through “The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme”.

I’ve been doing 3d modelling since the mid to late 1980’s, starting off on my Atari STE. I was born in 1973’.

I worked as an apprentice engineer when leaving school at 16. I later worked in sales and marketing and spent a short time as a professional close up magician working banquet halls in some of Scotland's largest hotel chains. I’ve seriously studied magic for as long as I can remember and decided that I preferred to keep it as a social thing. But I have still published a number of ebooks/video ebooks teaching my own creations/techniques to magicians around the world.

At colleges, I studied “Stringed Instrument Repair & Technology” and “Television Production & Sound Recording”.

I’ve worked in video production (relating to hillwalking) and production/post production (including editing and motion graphics) in the corporate film industry.

Currently the majority of my work is in 3d print design.
