Spent my youth bashing through cubs, scouts and army cadets, where I completed DoE Bronze and lived half my time down the local marsh and woods instead of at home and, er school.
Then I joined the Army as a medical technician and furthered my love for the outdoors by swiftly becoming a summer mountain leader and involving myself in loads of expeditions around the globe, including 6 weeks peak bashing in Nepal.
I left the forces after 6 years to move to cornwall, start a family and learn to surf... That I did, and now I have two wonderful kids, Corey, born on the vernal equinox, and Erin, born on the summer solstice... not planned, but still cool!
The surfing led to a whole new opening for adventure sports for me and 9 years on I'm a traction kite instructor and lead coasteer guide, working for my friends mobile adventure centre at the weekends.
My family and I love the outdoors, especially camping.
I am keen to improve on minimalist and wild camping and also get back into expeditions, now Corey is getting old enough and keen enough to join me.
