Might be a little late in the game, it's in its third series, but I absolutely love this show. Basically it's various homesteaders living off the land. I typical history channel style, they overdramatise before the ads, but there's really no need.

I alway put it on series record and love wathing it, like you say though its a bit over dramatised... not sure i'd like to be in Alaska at -50, Also you could easily become a snack or quickly get in trouble some other way

I've seen the first few seasons...impressed at first, then it wore off as it appeared to be more and more made-up drama. Each to their own :).

Definatly. Tom makes me very nervous with his gammy knee. Also, the pure isolation (when the camera crew aren't there) that Marty has to cope with would likely send me mad.

I take my hat off to Tom, Marty and Rich I believe they are true mountain men.
