Ecellent, nice and light. Those squirrels better watch out :D

I didn't realise you could fit silencers on those, was it a pretty easy process?

Yes,plastic front sight taps off! There are two ways of fitting silencer.buy a dedicated one which will slide on to 11mm barrel!!
)r buy an "Adapter"on e-bay,or Michael_Tawn_Airgun_Supplies.They start at about 11mmn go up in size to fit most barrels at a cost of £9.99.Fix to barrel with 2 or 3 allen grub bolts. Then one can fit any silencer.
Vermin control is done with a Carreer 11 707 Carbine in .22.or a BSA Lightening Tactical in .177.if using "air guns".Larger stuff rifles n shotguns.
The 2240/50 was a sort of exercise,To see just what can be achieved n improved.Next step is a scratch built model based on Crossman .n prob running on HiPaC,(High Pressure Air),rather than Co2.

Its mass produced.but value for money.Being based on a module! They are easy to MOD/Customise.etc.with lots of aftermarket bits n pieces to improve thier performance!etc.Very easy to work on.

Thanks. I will have a look at Crossman on the web when I get chance and pop to a local stockist to have a look. Good luck with the scratch built project.

Thanks...Have to amass n source the parts, etc.Prob be winter before I get down to it.
There are quite a few Crosman groups on Facebook, offering advice on mods, parts.aftermarket accesssories, etc.
If your going for one?? the 2250XL is the model to go for has a steel breech ,18" barrel, scope, fitted with silencer etc.an works out a big saving in after market parts etc.Youve got the platform and only need to do internal mods if you wish to increase its performance.Best Ive seen on offer is www.Alansairrifles.co.uk priced at £167.99.
