managed to get hold of these today,its far to early to be catching them yet but you will get a few all year round and it has been so mild i doubt the sea temp has dropped much.

while we were out we had a little fish as the herring are about now for spawning

and the end result,skinned whiting fillets,some silver darlins and some roe ready for an egg dip ,flour and fry'er...mmmmm

Nice I am looking forward to going fishing at the moment they are catching sole off of Brighton.

Good catch Kev,From sea to table thats the way to eat it,(if you don't have a fry up on the beach!).looks lovely !

the british shore caught reckord for sole was of the pier just to the left of the tower of refuge in the pic,dont know if it still stands or not,incidently thats where we catch the squid also.
we couldent beach this boat but i used to in my dory,loads of little coves and beaches on this coastline only accessable by sea,nothing better on a flat calm summers morning than beaching and cooking some fresh mackeral on the skillet :rolleyes:.....atb kev

job markets ok,not as good as it was but better than a lot of places in the uk.
because we are an island everything is condensed into a small area so we dont have vast areas of unemployment.
