Thought I'd share these as one is supposed to be for a member of the forum :)

I had intended the top knife to have a blade of 6" (as requested by the customer),but I put the 6" mark on my anvil in the wrong place when I forged it, so it's now 7" :rolleyes: Both blades are forged to finished from 1.1% high carbon steel, with soft backs and tangs.

The top one is 4mm thick at the spine (full flat) and has a hawthorn handle; there are mosaic pins there too but they don't show well in this pic.

Bottom one is about 5mm at the back and the handle is from my own micarta, in this case heavy green linen.

Beautiful knives! Reminds me of classic North American trading knives.

Beauty, love the finish and the way the grips and blades contrast each other, rather like something new on something old.
