I have the fleece lined version and it is a very hard wearing smock. Don't rate the 'showerproof' statement much though, they are not!

And they definitely do not like fire sparks...I appreciate it's a modern fabric but it seems very prone to melting quickly.
My lined smock's nice and warm...just full of 'oles....:p ;)

I see these are no longer on offer, but following on from the "What have you bought?" thread, I bought one of these to replaced a pretty battered one that lives in the boot of the car and gets most use as a dog blanket.

Yesterday, I had to wash and re-proof another jacket, so I put my new smock through the Nikwax wash and proofed it with some TX Direct Wash-In. I took it out in the rain for about 3/4 hour this morning when I walked the dog to the beach. OK, the rain was not torrential, but this was the outside when I got back indoors.

Maybe not waterproof, but a real improvement on what was a dubious showerproof at best.

I was thinking about one, I've decided to save and buy a Stormy Kromer Mackinaw cruiser instead. I know, I know it's bootique gear (boo because it's the price that scares you), but I've tried so many things now, very little fits my needs or me for that matter. Here's hoping. I've saved £20 per week after giving up the Fags, hehe can't wait.
