Since I added one to my latest knife, decided I should dig these up which I learned by last fall and let you guys see them. Is rather simple actually, is only semi difficult at the start to get right, but once you get a proper square, the rest comes together quickly.

And, how to finish the knot cleanly and tightly.

This works well for making a pull on a knife, a means to gather up a pile of paracord into a managable bunch that won't tangle, etc.

You know what's funny? I went searching for the video on how to finish a square sinnet knot lanyard (because my new line of Scout knives, have 6 orders so far over the past two days, one wants a lanyard like this), couldn't find it on youtube, etc, then came across a link on google I figured I'd check out............... wow, was my own link from earlier this year!!! Thanks me, majorly helpful. I rock!!! :)

And boo to the p***k who closed his youtube account so I can't access the video on how to finish the knot! Facepalm!!!

If you cross the strands over diagonally it will give you a round shape instead of the square shape. Just a thought.

Also instead of just cutting and melting the ends to finish, try tying a diamond knot or lanyard knot, much better finish. Just another thought.

Thanks, I will look into those suggestions.

Was the second video I was looking for, was a way to over and underlap the strands and let them come up through the middle, I did it before but forgot how (was in Jan this year), remember some of the basics but gave up, cut two short and melted, then tied a knot in the longer ones.

This is why I went looking for it again, my new brand of knife, the Scout, got the blanks (19) cut for me (because I hate that part of it, and I'm starting to mass produce these) and picked up on Monday, already have 6 orders plus two promotional knives to make:

Round is easier than that, instead of alternating the side you make each loop, just keep doing the loops on the same sides. Schimples...:)

I think this is the way you mean Mike...for the over/under finish...
