I was ask if I could make a sheath for a forum member's axe(sounds a nice thing to do:happy-clapping:)anyway I agreed to do it if he sent me a drawing of said axe.10106Trying to make a three diemenciail object from a flat bit of papper is a bit of a night mare, you can see where I have drawn in the shape of the sheath and strap. After waiting a couple days for the leather to arive I got on with it and finnish it yesterday,101071010810109 It's now winging it's way to Scotland..........I hope it fit's.:rolleye:

hello,
:welcome:
Whoo hoo.. I've been off for a few days & returned saw this OMG.. speechless BTW  Thank You Tony I'll certainly look forward to receiving this for my spare Hultafors 800g trail axe. A WIP as I've re-shafted the axe & oiled the wood, maybe later carve a design into the handle? I have a few Axes & I certainly would give the thumbs up to the Hultafors 800g trail axe, with this addition of the blade guard what more can I say?
Thanks again Tony, I'll get back to you soon as I received such.
Regards
David

hello,
Guess what arrived today? Whoo hoo.. Axe Blade Guard.. Firstly, Tony thank you very kindly for your valuable time, patience, & craftsmanship, you've exceeded yourself there, a work of art. The blade guard/strap etc.. fits perfect, no issues with the quality or 'any' aspect of the blade guard. I'll post some photo's when I have some time later, I haven't got my camera at home sadly or I would have included a few dimensional photo's tonight. I'm chuffed to bits. So once again Tony 'A very Big Thank You!!'
Regards
David

hello,
Tony I fully apologise my friend :ashamed: I've not had time to take photo's as yet, I've not long since fixed the axe handle ready to sand & oil. Soon as I've got a minute, I'll post a photo affixed on the axe head as it stands ok? sorry about that.. I've been showing everyone this piece of workmanship other than a photograph
Regards
David

hello,
Photo uploaded to last thread. Placed the sheath on the other Hultafors Axe just had handle replaced (hickory) still to sand & oil both, as the other is still a WIP, fits both as you can see. It's a work of art Tony well chuffed with this, been showing it off BTW excellent reviews
