Just got back from this place after a couple of days camping with some of my Partners family. Has anyone been? The camp was set in a 30 acre mixed woodland, partly ancient. Mixture of Pine, Sweet Chestnut, Beech, Ash and plenty of Hazel everywhere. Needless to say, found some great mushrooms! Anyway, thought I'd recommend the place. It's very basic, only a compost toilet and standpipe but you're free to do whatever you like, very Bushcraft friendly! The Woodsman gave us a personal course in shelter building which the kids loved and was relatively cheap. I can't tell you where it is, one of the rules is that this location is kept secret but they have a website, www.yellowwood.co.uk for information on how to book a pitch. Totally recommend.
