I did NOT make this. I just found it. It's a stop-motion film made from about 20 000 stills pictures from the neigbour Island of Senja.

This is my country :-)

we are still actively looking at emigration to Norway...I'm looking at jobs in the oil industry as an offshore medic - the cost of the survival training is a tad high though

Lovely, we do actually have some magnificent scenery over here too, but probably just nudged into second place by that ;) The one thing that I am very envious of is the regular sightings you must get of the northern lights. I'd imagine you could never take that sight for granted even if you saw it every night.

Just remembered something else I'm envious of, the Cod fishing in the fjords, do you take advantage?

But the wages are very high. There are cleaning staff out there that makes more than £80K a year. So provided you can land a job, it's a good investment :-)

I'd be insane not to. But's not been so good here lately. But we've had a pretty good Halibut fishing here lately. I got a litte SIB that I go out in. I also do some shore fishing. So plan to go out on the islands in the summer, do some shore fishing and hang the hammock. Going to be lovely :-)

I think of it as being the right way to move into a new society and community - given my Norse heritage though it could be said Im coming home to the motherland ;)

Isn't it strange how out of all the buggering about on the net/ dealing with f****ng idiots in daily life that it takes a community such as this to hear level headed and sensible comments and plans. Not to mention respect.

Let equity and fairness be your hallmark. Treat others in accordance with what they deserve, and give each person a chance to show his or her best.

Cooperate with kin and friends, do your fair share, and remember your responsibilities to others.

Although we belong to a community, we are also individuals with distinct personalities and clearly-defined rights. Respect the individuality of others, and insist on the same in return.

it seems that almost every person of worth wants to jump ship..... whilst it saddens me, i wish you the best of luck, i realise i dont know you that well at all but i have no reason to think or wish ill of you.

lets hope others can see the same, and the change will be made all that bit easier.. @Sapper

cant think of anything else to say, other than the scenery looks magnificant, im jealous lol..
