Llanelli Area

Hi there, anyone know of any good forests other than pembrey to camp in in or near Llanelli ?
I live really close to the city center.

Reason I ask is because I have only recently moved here, that's a lie I moved here 4 years ago,
only now my interest in camping and bushcraft has been rekindled.

I used to live in Pontardawe and there were loads of woods to go camping in, and I would go quite regularly.

Guess you can take the man out of the woods, but not the woods out of the man!

I camp a lot in Troserch woods.

If your coming from Llanelli to the motorway on the bypass turn left at the roundabout before the lights into Allt, keep going for about a mile then turn right you'll come to Troserch woods car park.

If you go onto my blog/website (link in my signature) go to the adventure page and choose "Troserch Woods" in the Categories menu, that'll bring up all my videos of Troserch.

I also used to live in the Pontardawe area and went to Cwmtawe school!

Ahh cool, I went to Ystalyfera, but most my family went to cwmtawe,
my dads half are from Alltwen, well Banwen then Alltwen,
and my mums half is from Camarthen/Ponty.

Well deffo have to go there, been interested in camping somewhere close for a while

There is some woods that John Fenna uses up in Boncarth there is also a nice little wood up near Llanstephen.here,
