That's better than me. I usually rush around like an idiot on the morning I'm going out, trying to find all my stuff.

I wish I was more organised like you. Maybe next time.

I'm off to the lakes this weekend just food, and kit to chuck in the van Friday morning and away we go must remember the dog though

To be honest it’s not entirely full yet.
Still not too sure what we are doing – day out or over-nighter. Depending on weather and what mood I’m in I may camp out on my own if my friend can’t.
So I may have to add a sleeping bag to it all yet.
Inside is mess kit (Crusader mess tin with brew kit and cup), nimblewill stove, Laplander, Polar Carbon 62 knife, FAK…er…oh, tarp, ground sheet, paracord and pegs, map and compass, water bottle, fire-lighting stuff. Think that’s it. Oh yeah, carving knives (because I thought I’d do a bit of carving).
Like I say, still a few bits to add – food, maybe hammock (probably not in this weather – you have to add so much more stuff for insulation as well), was thinking of taking watercolours and pad. Oh yeah, also a book – can’t decide between a collection of HP Lovecraft stories or good ol’ blustery Max Hastings’ ‘All Hell Let Loose’.
I’m sure I’ve missed something out.

It doesn't matter where we're going...somewhere in the east of the county...

Thats me as well....and I also have to return home for stuff I forgot. usually either the batteries for the cam, or the memory card.
