usually when I hit camp with my mate we will take a crate of guiness and some tea lights. Its not about the camping or the crafts then we just like to blow away the stresses of our toils.

that's the way to chill out, one question however; where do you get 144 tea lights for all the cans? ;)

top idea! funnily enough, I was thinking of something similar the other day involving bean tins and jam jars with the bottom cut off - bit more complicated but liked the idea of a little window!

We used to make those, seen many a person cut themselves after a few beers;)Well there's nothing like being half cut. :)

I found an old one of these lamps in an abandoned outbuilding recently. Infact I was trying to remember how it looked so I could make one; but as usual the forum 'hive' beat me to it. :D

the key is not to have a "few" beers!!drink responsibly ie. 4 cans over 4 hrs + 4 lights and all didgits!!:camping:

Had to Google this, as I was born in 1974.
Now I've seen it, I remember my Dad having one, and a barrel key ring I think!

My uncle Vince had a Watneys red barrel, bed side light at about the time you were born Paul.
