I think your front leg is a bit close in. It might get in the way when you push out the holding clamp with your feet.

Cheers mate I'm going to do that in the morning I think I will change the wooden rod for a metal rod to :)

I went out earlier and had a go at moving the leg forward like Jonny suggested and after sitting on it I need to move the clamp back so my legs fit it :D

Ah and I have drilled some other holes to lower the clamp downa bit :)

Oh well nearly finished I just need something for the top to help me clamp it down when I push with my legs if you know what I mean :)

I have used a metal threaded rod to go through the middle with a outer covering on the parts that could rub against the wood to try and save it wearing through :)

I;m nit sure if anyone is really interested in this thread so if not I will let it close :)

I have been following this with keen interest. The reason being that in my ignorance I have absolutely no idea what it is for and rather than google it I committed to the serial. Don't stop before I know how it works and what it does. :rock-on:

Just because no ones posting it doesn't mean its not getting looked at......now then if you were posting about your other ahem exploits it may be a bit different ;)

Got it, it's a foot operated wood vice for carving. T^ I know it wasn't a quiz and I was probably the only one who was puzzled. Fascinating, can't wait to see how it operates.

Nice one Ben, hope you are making lots of shavings. This will be perfect for making your natural round-wood shave horse later on.

Check out my version of a simple round-wood shave horse, it might give you an idea or two...
