Chaps, need some advice/suggestions.
I have just managed to destroy my gas stove.
I had one of these:

http://www.campingandleisure.co.uk/acatalog/highlandercompactcampingstovegas032_small.jpg

What I liked about it was that the gas cylinder was attached by a length of hose, which meant the burner/pot sat lower and was more stable.

So, what I'd like is a new stove, that does the same - cycliner attached by length of hose - BUT also so that the arms are close enough together that I can sit a Crusdaer mug on them (with the one I had - above - the arms were just too far apart).
Any recommendations?
I only want to spend up to £30. Maybe £40. So please don't waste time recommending a stove at £100+ that you personally love and have never had any problems with and think it's the stove to end all stoves.
There's a budget to this.
Any suggestions?

A friend has just bought this from ebay, it works well and looks to be good value.

Try sports direct, I got a Karrimor one for less than £20.

Hi gear inferno (http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/inferno-folding-gas-stove-p158211) from go-outdoors are about £20 and are pretty good in temperate weather, all butane and butane/propane mix are rubbish at this time of year.

Yup, I bought one of those yesterday.
Does the job perfectly - gas attached by remote hose, legs just fold out rather than take on/off (so less fiddling) AND you can sit a Crusader mug across the fins! Perfect!
Yet to be used in anger, mind you. But I don't see any reason why it won't do the job perfectly well.

I'm on my second, on the first and original version the hose started leaking where it connects to the regulator, but that was after 2-3 of years of heavy summer use. I thought if I can get another 2-3 years out of what is a new and improved design, for £20 I'll be well happy.

Like I said, Not really good in very cold weather, I use my MSR Dragonfly in winter, but I love the little inferno.

Glad to hear the cru cup fits ok on it. Maybe I was trying a different metal mug when I tried lol.

I took the mug with me and tried it on all the stoves before deciding!
