Yes the fan dance isnt the best but I gained operational status with the pooch on those self same mountains and upgraded there 3 years later...its an area thats been kind to me in recent years

Long time no speak - nice vid Mark, good to see the family getting out. Haven't got any wild camping under my belt this year, what with doing my ankle in the spring which went on forever, working the wood and then more recently doing my back...!

Paul.

Sorry to hear about your injuries Paul. I've tried to take my son out wild camping every month this year and have pretty much managed it.

Thanks, it's an old version of imovie.

Nice camping trip you had. Looks like it could be a windy place at times, eh? Hardly a tree in sight.

Incredibly harsh place to be, or it can be.

The British Army use it for training and was the regular home to the selection course for the S.A.S. Its infamous for something mentioned in an earlier post for the 'Fan Dance' which is an endurance route march/run done over the summit of Pen - Y - Fan, and back again normally, twice or more if you are really lucky ;)

We were hoping for that. We'd been watching the localised weather forecast the previous week and every day it had said 'heavy snow'.

Good to see you all out again, well done on managing monthly trips too! A bit too bleak up there for my tastes, but I'm sure very satisfying views for the effort.
