got some pine cones to dip into wax today, but I may make some of those at the same time, looks good Fish

I made some of these a while back and compared them to cotton wool balls soaked in vaseline. The cotton wool balls burnt much better and for longer...

Top stuff thanks for sharing this Fish.

I once used this kinda of method to pack carboard in a tin-foil/Chinese tray, then poured the molten wax on top, put the lid back on and then I used it as a portable fire & cooker during some coastal foraging. Worked fine. I think I will try these as fire-lighters and the pine-cone version too :)
