Hawthorn leather/jerky

Made some Hawthorne leather last night, didn't come out as expected but taste ok, put a bit of sugar and a few sloes in as we'll, will cut the strips thicker next time before I dry it

Thats a great Idea mate.
There are stacks of berries down here in Cornwall at the moment. I made some Blackberry Jam last week, bloody lovely.

Had my first tast of Hawberries this week as I never knew you could eat them and I also wanted to make sure I identified it properly.
Had my first Elderberry and Sloe too straight off the bush.

I bet Blackberry and Haw mixed together would make a good Leather.

Thanks for posting that I will have to chase up a recipe and or method and get picking.
