Took some of our kids and a visiting chap over to the woods on the Longleat estate today and they had a go at making a shelter and did some foraging.

gathering thatch:

and did some faraging,ben found loads of wood sorrel:

between them identified several food plants:

spearmint.

Maybe its one of those new kettles that has a contured map of your local hills . lol

lol the kettle is a veteran of over 500 outings and is doing well ,had to patch up the seal around the bottom with metal putty and fix a few holes but it still holds 2 pints and works great.
