Hi Folks

I've just managed to get out for a long weekend and shot a couple of videos, the first was the review of the Czech bedroll which is here on NB somewhere.

The second is a generic one of the camp in which I cooked some salmon using the split stick method I saw years ago on a Ray Mears programme.

Hope that you like it......

Excellent! I'm definitely going to give that split stick method a try although I did find myself cringing slightly and thinking 'PLEASE don't slip with the knife!!' whilst you were cutting the split towards your left arm. I know there's not really any other way to do it where you were and that you are obviously well practised with a knife but still...

Thanks for posting Ade.

Nice video. That is the way I cook all sorts of fish, including cod and coalfish as well if I do it over a fire. :-)

That salmon looked, well good enough to eat. Never tried that cooking method, but having seen this video, I definitely want to if I get the chance.

Grand as always, thanks for sharing T^

Thanks folks. I have to say that it was one of my favourite camps I have ever done.

The weather was perfect, the deer tracks were everywhere, the salmon tasted amazing and we got to watch a young Roe deer for a while too.

I'm going back there again in August so more films to follow as there are a few things I want to try out/practice.

All the best for now and thanks again for all the comments.

Ade.

Thanks for the concern buddy. It's much appreciated. I guess in hindsight it wasn't the safest use of a knife ever caught on film.

Thanks guys.

The website is still a work in progress but it's going the right way for me.

I've got another two night camp in August so hopefully another video to bore you all with.

Thanks for the kind words mate and thank you for subbing my channel too.

The bedroll is a great bit of kit and would work well in your case with the motorbike.

Cool vid, enjoyed it :) Looks like some 'ansome food there.

Just a tip next time with the Salmon if you skewer through the Salmon with the horizontal parts you made it helps keep the fish from folding one way or the other. Looked tasty!

Just seen this.. Cor it gave me butterflies in my stomach watching you push that knife into that branch Adrian. Please use a batton, even if it is the handle of a masked axe..
