Heres the gear I use when out gettin Burls and branchs for bowls and spoons.
Carry at least the saw when ever im out .
Have been asked when is the best time to collect wood for spoons stafs and bowls .
My answer is always the same. When Ever I find it :D

Nice saw :) I use them as well. I'm sure the blades are as good as the Silky offerings

The blade is fantastic . had the saw about 7 or8 years now and it slides back into the handle now .
Sorted that though by burnung a small hole in the handle with the blade extended and having the nail inbehind the saw blade. No slipping back on me now when Im cutting. also cut the nail down and roundended off the end.
A few more years in it yet im thinkin. Thanks for lookin
