Just acquired a nice gift (thanks ian c!) of a desert pattern basha, and it's awesome! But the fact it has webbing handles all over it for the purpose of using it as an improvised stretcher made me think "Hmmmmm, that'd mean it could be rigged as a hammock too", so I did some searching, found this video:

What I dig most is, not only did the tarp make a comfy looking hammock, but it was big enough to make a shelter too. I SOOOO want to try that this year!
