First attempt

After asking a few questions here is a couple of pictures of my new knife i've just finished,oak handle came from a piece of oak i've had for years(bought a old beam from a reclamation yard years ago). Blade from a file3432343334343435

Thanks Jakob, it's a bit of a fruit knife(ie; a bit small )but it fits my hand, i will be giving it a bit of field test this weekend,just some basic stuff to see if it holds it's edge. Paul

Here's a great tutorial for sheath making. It's what I followed for my third sheath, which really made a difference to the appearance of them lol.

Thanks for all the nice comments,Tony that would be great if you could send me a template,should i buy a piece of leather or do you think i could recycle a leather belt? Gave it a bit of test today,held it's edge ok just think i could of made the bevel a bit finer as it feels a bit clumsy when trying to take slicing cuts but i did manage to reduce our christmas tree to fire wood. Think the next one i have a go at will have a wider blade.Paul
