Been rolling this around in my head almost since I got on here, easy enough to understand, but over here if you mention bushcraft to anyone who doesn't know, they'd likely think it was a form of landscaping or hedge trimming.....

So, let's have some fun with this and come up with clever descriptions that us people in the 'new countries' can use to play with the uneducated (the RV crowd, my father included), yuppie types (the ones that will blow $3000 for fancy gear only to be used once per year on a weekend canoe trip) that we might have to explain what bushcraft means.

Here's the one I thought of while emptying the dishwasher:

"It's lightweight camping for skilled people."

:D

Not the description I was expecting from you Tony, all I knew you'd say would be "Bushcraft is..... don't get eaten by the bears......" Rather wordy though, was looking for a snappy quick explanation that would cause some grins, not the teaching me about what bushcraft means. Lol

Maybe I should put it in the form of a poem... say, a limerick that includes the word Nantucket..
