Gonna keep sort of a history of pics here as I go for this one. If weather permits I will do more work on it tomorrow kinda working on a basic user now nothing fancy may add a little detail as i go but wanna try to design up my own basic user cooking spoons see how long it takes from start to finish. Wood is maple piece behind it is the sister half of the small log what a joy that wood is to carve out hard yet knife goes through it like butter so far got bout 40 minutes into it from sawing the piece of the branch to splitting it down

Never tried it myself but don't think oil is the way to go? others suggest cold tea or coffee?? that will look the dogs dangles with a bit of colour, where did you get the wood?
