hi everyone.. wanted to share some useful info with you all..
pop into most diy stores and you will expect to pay anywhere between £3-£5 for 500ml of the purple stuff , right ?
the wood refinishing trade uses gallons of the stuff and therefore buy it in bulk ( 45 gallons /205 ltrs!!!! ) now i contacted my local re finishing supplier to the wood and automotive trade and asked how much 5 ltrs of mineralised meths is and imagine my suprise when i was told £7.50 inc vat !!!!!!!:o

Sorry, close but at £1.50 per litre it still can't beat Trago Mills price on their 15% off day. Check out this thread. :)

Not really the cheapest in the country. What you should say is the cheapest in the SW. Liskard, Newton Abbot and Falmouth. Wales in the year take your pick.. Unlike you we are not all fortunate enough to have Trago on our doorstep. Anyone who gives cheap meths stores should be encouraged.. THanks Bare for your post..and welcome to the site.. Which company did you get your info from?

Roll on Trago Merthyr...! - wonder if they'll hike the price over here cus of the bridge tolls...

Hadn't thought of industrial meths before but makes sense now, did a bit of 'trade' shopping around on the inter-web this arvo but haven't found it too cheaply yet in my area, I'll keep looking.

Still no date for Merthyr yet.. Work will commence in Spring 2011 lol.. I will be fishing the welsh streams with a zimmer before thats built
