Knots
Useful knots used in Bushcraft
There are many knots and hitches that can be useful to us in a bushcraft/outdoors sense. Here I will show you useful knots that I use and explain the typical scenario that I use them in.
Evenk Knot
Pablo has
done a superb job of showing you the Evenk Knot in one of his video's so here it
is:
Prussik Knot
Good video showing you the Prussik Knot:
Adjustable Cawley Hitch

This knot gives you an adjustable fixture to your line, allowing you to tension lines and generally helps in many situations. Under strain it will hold its position. The end of the line is looped back through the knot to allow for simple/quick release when un-doing; one hard pull on the working end and your un-done. This hitch is a variation I made of a knot I learnt through the Bushcraft UK magazine, I have since searched the net to find an exact match of the knot and a name but to no avail, I therefore claim the knot and gave it a name! If you learn this useful knot, please honor it by remembering its name. Apologies if its already been used/named, please let me know if you know of it.
