Lucky man; I've three friends who hike/camp in bear country but they always carry firearms.

I bet that's going to sting when he gets in the bath.

Not attacked once , but twice and survived. Amazing.

A very fortunate and unlucky man...
Yes you read it right...
Fortunate to survive twice, unlucky to find himself in the vicinity of a mother grizzly with cubs .
Wrong place and wrong time but it must be said that the man did all that he could to survive that.
If he wasn't such an experienced and seasoned outdoor hiker , the result would most likely have been a fatality.
He deployed spray when he could , he ran when he could, he stayed motionless when he should have, he covered his neck and face , he remained silent in the midst of the rage , pain and fear and above all he knew what to do and to remain calm despite the horrifying ordeal.
Fair play to him , glad the bear didn't get put down and hope the man has a swift recovery...
I bet his buddies are already thinking up bear jokes...
Bear with me on this one....
...couldn't bear it any longer etc...
Leo Di caprio (Revenant) eat your heart out ...
Warning!!! Scary Hollywood bear attack on the video link

That's one of those guys that are real quiet in a bar until someone ticks them off. Then it's "Katy bar the door". Good grief, this is one tough man.
