    Glue Matches

    Hi gang,

I just learnt a nifty little item to put in my 'possibles bag'... GLUE MATCHES.

Get a box of safety matches and a glue stick from a 'hot glue' gun. Heat the end of the glue stick in a naked flame for a few seconds and roll the safety match onto the glue (about 1/8" away from the match head), wrap it like making candyfloss. You don't need a great deal of glue; stick the matches in a potato until set & cold.

Be careful when working with the hot glue it can STICK to your skin and BURN.

Put 10 or so in a small zip bag with a cut off section of the match box striking strip and put them in your kit bag; keep a box in your workshop also, etc.

TO USE: strike match, angle match so the flame licks over the glue, rub the melted glue onto the object you need to glue and hold in place until the glue sets... SIMPLES.

    Perfect for strong emergency glueing
    In the field (or home)

WARNING: be careful when using the hot glue; it can STICK to your skin and BURN.
