    Swedish mess kit oven

Well finally got to try my oven idea. Based on a Swedish army svea mess kit. Used I'd guess maybe 4 ounces of alcohol total had to do a second fill up. Took maybe about 20 minutes to make a nicely flakey biscuit. Just used an instant mix. It called for milk and butter I subbed water and a bit of olive oil also gave the cup a good coat to. Made a nice crust.
Used the frying pan for the main base a few small stones to prop the canteen cup a bit covered with main pot let do it's thing.

The end product damned tasty to was a fun experiment.

That's awesome, don't think you could've gotten away with that result with an aluminum one, ally is notorious for sticking/burn issues.

That looks great. you've got me thinking now, I reckon I could do something similar with two nesting Billy cans over my hobo stove. I'll have to have a play.

That should work just fine. I saw a video a while back done by four dog stove. He basically made one same idea you're talking about. Pretty much same principal to what I did. Some friends have said they use folded up tin foil to prop the cup to that or stones works well

    That's a clever idea that.
I reckon it could be easily adapted to other uses and set-ups as well.
