    About to get clobbered

"State meteorologists were warning residents of Norway’s central and northern counties that more extreme weather was moving in from the west and expected to hit hard this weekend. Winds were due to reach hurricane force."

The snow front is here allready, and I have sent the kids out to bring in anything lose that we keep outside. Stocked up on candles, batteries and taking a last minute shopping round this afternoon for ahem....comfort foods :-)

Anyway the strongest winds will hit us around 1900 tomorow. Luckily the house will probably have the hills screening is from the worst of it...
Meanwhile they are evacuating some of the outer islands...

Ye Gods, take care, Rune. Wouldn't want the house to be swept-off and taken to Oz...

Well, we are all buttoned down and ready. Doubt it will amount to much right here, as we are somewhat sheltered by the hills. Storms normally blow right over us. But we'll probably lose electricity for a few hours, and the 16 year old is less than happy with it because he can't go snow-boarding tomorrow, and on top of it, been told to stay home.

But around us it will be a bad one. It's combined with a spring tide and a storm surge + up to 25 meter high waves at sea.
So there will be a lot of destruction along the shore line.

But as usual...no hoarding to be seen. I am just back from the supermarket, and people where just boying the usual shopping stuff for the week-end. Mind you, I saw a lot of shopping carts with candles and batteries in them :-)

Hope your stocks of "comfort food" last the storm Rune. What happens when the power goes - Monopoly?

I guess so...at least we'll have radio. Last time it happened so late in the evening that we all just went to bed :-)

I am also stocked up with fuel for the 111T Optimus stoves so we can get some brew on when the winds calm down, and the electricity is still out.
Else we'll just fill all the thermos flasks with hot water in the afternoon. The brunt of this is supposed to hit us around 7 in the evening tomorrow.

And now they tell us it will be two storms :-)
