    Oatmeal

Just wondering to those who like it what do y'all like to mix into yours? I've heard some loath it except when in the woods.
A favorite way for me of which I'm having a bowl of right now with brown sugar and a good scoop of peanut butter plus some apple chips I got from Oakandthorn good stuff bud

I eat mine with a thick sprinkling of cinnamon, sugar and a huge eye of butter in the middle :-)
Thats the Norwegian way of eating all sorts of porridge....

The only way I like oatmeal is with hot milk and just a sprinkle of sugar, plain and simple. My dad on the other hand used to put salt on his????

I make up a 50/50 mix of porridge oats and muesli, then when at camp add boiling water and leave for a few minutes...a chopped banana on top is a welcome bonus.

I like a sprinkle of sugar and/or raisins or other dried fruit.
I will have to try the Norwegian butter way asap though

Ok, this might sound strange, but here in Scotland it's frequently eaten with just a little salt.

If that's not to your taste, I could recommend Porridge Royale - Porridge with a splash of malt whisky in it.

    Glorious!

Made with all milk, and lots of maple syrup.

New England style - flavour with maple syrup, a pinch crushed dried berries of Spicebush (old time colonial substitute for allspice), and dried currants.
Oatmeal is my outdoor staple. Pair it with a side of eggs, some coffee, and perhaps a few slices of bacon or ham, and you have a healthy and hearty way to start the day.
Glad you're liking the apples...I devoured all of mine already
