Bit of an odd question, but was wondering if anyone can help....

Here is my Gelert one-man tent..

    http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/713t1eVmWlL.jpg

As you can see it says 'solo' on the side. Is there a way for me to remove that? I tried scraping it off but it didn't work. Is there any liquid solution that could do it? I just don't feel like advertising to people that I'm camping alone. Call it a privacy issue.

Don't know about removing it but could you paint over it with fabric paint?
If there are no women around and a man says something, is he still wrong?

    Could you add letters?

e.g. Posology:- n. - The pharmacological determination of appropriate doses of drugs and medicines

    I'll get me coat.....

No matter what you do with it!!!It will still be a "ONEMAN TENT"?

The lettering is usually heat bonded to the material and welds itself to the fibres making removing it nigh on impossible.

Mike - really? The issue isn't that it is a one man tent, read the OP

I'm kind of with Midas (is it Mike?) on this, and I see his point.

If I was walking by your tent, whether it said "Solo" on the side or not, I wouldn't be inclined to think that there was more than one person in it. Bear in mind that I do realize that there are so-called "2-man" tents marketed as such that are about the same size. You'd have to be on very intimate terms with your bunk-mate to be squeezed in together in a tent that size.

If it's all that bothersome, flip the rainfly inside-out. If there are loops that need to be used, replace them on the other side. That's my 2 pennies worth.

Perhaps??if unable to remove SOLO.Stick a "Beware of the DOG".sign over it.
Do people actually walk around the countryside.checking occupency of tents???

In a stealth situation,no one should see you anyway.?
On a camp site ,one would have security,n people would know there was only one of you!

Maybe you could sew or glue a patch over it.
