    As I said...with patience..... lots of it lol. I did think of using the belt bit with a stronger motor but it just too much trouble. Be interested to see what you come up with !

    Will post up the designs when I've finished them 😊 know what you mean about patience - fettled a friend's knife and it took ages to get the bevels back! Can you believe people are selling the aldi ones on the bay for 80 quid??!!

    Belt grinder on hold until I get my new shed. In the meantime, my vacuum cleaner blower was on its last legs so laid my hands to this bad boy for a tenspot


    Modified the inlet with a flap valve but still too much blast so made a sliding gate valve from plywood and steel plate and works a treat.




    Works a treat, can adjust the air from a merest breath to blowing out the coals!

    Feeling the limitations of this forge now. It's great but just a bit too small for what I want to make. Already started on the next one! Got a 15kg butane cut in half lengthways and acquired some table legs off the scrap heap to make the stand. Pics to follow!
