It is worth taking the time to get the setup right. Get your lesson plans sorted, refined and then set in your head as this really pays dividends for new courses and avoids any issues of things getting forgotten. Invariably plans never go the way intended and the ability to adapt always comes in useful but it is much easier to keep track of where you are or need to backtrack too if a good sound plan has been fixed in the mind.
