    Another Belt (for me this time)

    After making my uncle an Elvis belt I decided that I would make a belt for myself.
    I used an old buckle that I had spare.
    As you can imagine, making a belt isn't exactly the most difficult thing to do, but for that reason I think it would make a good first project for anyone starting leatherwork. It also has the advantage that it's soemthing you'll use nearly everyday, getting full use out of your own handcrafted luxury leather item!
    I'll be wearing my new belt tomorrow.

    I believe in says "Not all who wander are lost", but I can only actually read "...who wander are..." due to the angle of the photo.)

    Yup, that's it.
    From Lord of the Rings. As I recall it's Gandalf talking about the rangers.

    Here is the full poem:

    All that is gold does not glitter,
    Not all those who wander are lost;
    The old that is strong does not wither,
    Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

    From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
    A light from the shadows shall spring;
    Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
    The crownless again shall be king.

    Really like the FUTHORC runes there, and definitely one of the best lines from the Middle Earth series . I wonder if you can find them with ogham letters?....
