    Yes got an e-mail from a friend in Fort William,about the plague of mozzies.n if I was going don't forget my net,citrone,deet,mozzie coils.....Thought she was been over dramatic???But from the map you posted I see they are in a 5.ZONE.So forwarned is forearmed!!!

    hello,
    Last time I was *camping up there I had to go into the petrol station & buy a can of fly spray, I was scooping 'bailing' the little blighters out of the tent, I gave a German couple's tent a quick blast too, they were screaming 'murder Polis' as they left the tent open to air it. Aye as we say they were 'hoaching' (Scots word: To teem with. To have a plentiful supply of).

    Could have done with one of those for Exmoor before spending the weekend there with the DofE groups. Got eaten alive we did, thousands and thousands of the things. Repellent didn't seem to work that well either.
