    Nice one mate
I made my first charcloth last year, then tried it with my firesteel and some dry grass, I was over the moon when I started my first ever fire from just a spark and using my own home made char..... such a buzz, I was actually surprised how much of a buzz I found it. next step is to make and master the bow drill.

Good job. I'll warn you though, it gets pretty addictive.

Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.

Hi all new to the forum. I do my char by burying it in the soil/sand, putting the fire over and waiting for around an hour. Takes some getting used to but I find it more of a challenge than 10 minutes in a pot. Try it guys.
