Thread: Bucksaw axe case

    Bucksaw axe case

Something I knocked up last night from an old army kitbag.
Couldnt justify £60 just to have a bit of leather and the RM brand on it.

Just need to fashion a closer on the flap but will be braided paracord and wooden/antler toggle and the carry strap is left loose to allow for adjustment.

He who says "he can" and he who says "he can't", are both usually right.

Nice, I like the combo idea.

Must try and learn to use swimbo's sewing machine, she's only used it once since I bought it for her!!

Just finished it off with a small woven paracord keeper and hand turned hazel toggle.
Might not be as tidy as the RM one but well chuffed with it.

Excellent work, that is . Saved a lot of coin, and made something that will last .
An axe case from US sellers would cost you anywhere from $40 to over $80.

Only difference when I made mine was I put suede patches on the main wear points, and used webbing and d-rings so I could use different ways to attach it to my pack. But top job

Isn't it nice when someone says "that's a great piece of kit, where did you buy that", then you can modestly reply "you can't buy it, I made it myself". The moral is, it's amazing what you can achieve if you put your mind to it.
