    Dog behaviour...

I saw this today and thought it was worth posting - feel free to share as it might prevent another tragedy

I wanted to share a picture with you showing classic calming signals that a dog gives when he is NOT comfortable. Please note all four signs in these pictures indicating that the dog is NOT enjoying this situation

    1. Licking the lips
    2. Showing the whites of his eyes
    3. Panting when not overheated
    4. Turning his head away

If only more people could understand what a dog is thinking.

Got to say I really felt for the "Rotty", in other circumstance it may have reacted differently and would have been destroyed, and through no fault of it's own... Never cease's to amaze me how irresponsible and reckless some dog owner's are..... God only know's what they were thinking, or perhaps that's part of the problem, they weren't thinking. RANT OVER going for a lie down in a darkened room...........

Its not the dog...its the idiot at the other end of the lead....

or the dweeb that thinks they are some kind of magical dog whisperer..... despite being faced with 34kgs and 54 teeth and a handler with a 9mm bite !!

I cringed lots during that video and can only say I was pleased at the end when the child escaped unscathed, because at any moment I was sure the dog would warn the child the parents would start screaming driving the dog into a frenzy.
