    The handle on mine has stood up well to being used on an open fire, so it's still on there. I think some of them were made with different types of plastic, and I got lucky with mine.

    snap!! i got the same one as well,cant remember where I got it,had it for ages,it's a bit black and battered now though

    Aye No problem with the handle on mine eather . And its been on a fare few fires
    Mind you I do prop the handle up with a small twig.

    Those kettles are great. Got two of them and have been used over the fire repeatedly with no handle problems.
