I applied for a licence last year but non are given out in Devon and Cornwall the reason given was that they don't notice the decline in numbers in the trapping areas so we don't allow it. so i was very disappointed considering there's a river full of them 5 minutes away.

No license needed in UK for an invasive species (which they are) especially when so very tasty

Invaders like the signal crayfish have a permanent contract on their heads so enjoy.

I have looked for maps of invaded areas but am having not a lot of luck. Are they in the Erme/Dart or other Devon rivers? Any useful resources or is it a case of giving the EA a bell?

I don't know if there are any places in Cornwall with them in, but I sure would like to have a camp out for a couple of nights trying to catch them somewhere.

    Keep us informed Rawfish.
