    Creepy Crawly ID

Whilst out playing today I came across this wee beastie:

    Anyone know what it is?

Initially I thought it was a wood tiger beetle. But it's not.
It's about 15-20mm long and the underside is dark terracotta/brick/roof tile in colour.
I've checked the couple of reference books that I have but I can't find it in either of them.

    Anyone have any idea?

That wee beastie would be the Two Banded Longhorn Beetle.

Latin name would be Rhagium bifasciatum.

    Hope that helps buddy.

I think it's a very unhappy Two Banded Longhorn Beetle and it's thinking of throwing itself off that cliff..
