Very basic kit for me on my belt. An FFD, various plasters, wound cleaning wipes, a roll of crepe bandage, tick removal gizmo and a small roll of Sniper tape. A more comprehensive commercial FAK lives in my Bergen.
I have several FAK's i trained as a medic and have had to use things like quick clot, hemcon and CAT's but most of the time i carry a basic FAK with a couple of FFD's either in a pocket or in my pack, i always have one with me when i am using my chainsaw.
I always carry a selection of band aids, steri-wipes, anti histamins and pain killers in my EDC kit.
I also carry a Lifesystems Light & Dry Micro FAK in my EDC pack, with a few added things; compression bandage, painkillers, anti histamins, sterile gloves and a pair of EMT shears.
I just took a 3 houser FAK course this evening - I had been wanting to do that for a while. Maria tagged along for company, though she already have the big 72 houer course + she is a certified fireman (she used to be sailor). I have litteratly seen her save a man's life (heavy artery bleeding).
