    small hand axe how to

    i found a small hand axe while clearing out the shed,its a j@c made in england so cant be that bad i want to restore it ive cleaned it up with a wire brush attachment and its come up nice and shiny,how do i set about restoring the beval and sharpining the blade.also does anyone know what this makes like or some of you might even own one

    I would try a file to start with, then use an axe stine, this should get it pretty close to its orignal state, i have to say i have never heard of this type of axe, but im sure someone on this site will know abit about them.

    thx mate,yea ive used a file its pretty sharp now but needs some more working on,ill do a bit each day

    Ye, at the end you should have a pretty good axe, keep me posted on how it goes, and feel free to post some pictures.
