    A Couple of Knife Projects!

Bought myself this Damascus blade some time ago and finally got round to putting scales on it and making a sheath for it.

Quite pleased with the blade and it seems to hold a good edge.

Messed the sheath up a bit though DOH! Fouled up on the stitching holes round the bottom edge, so had to cut across the sheath at an angle. To cover up I inlaid some brass rod in the stitching holes. Think it came out ok! Impregnated the sheath with beeswax for good measure so it’s stiff as a board now but holds the knife in place perfectly.

While I was at it I made a sheath for my svord mini…….

They're a pair of beauties, sheaths look good too. If you hadn't mentioned the stitching I'd of thought it was meant to be like that.

Nice work! Smooth cover-up using the brass rod, I'd have never thought to do that. Looks decorative, maybe something to keep in mind for later, make a star, initials or something the same way.
