    fallkniven f1 blannk scale ideas

    Hiya guys
i was looking around for a cheaper way to get a fallkniven f1 and noticed that on the bushcraft store they sell blade blanks
i love the idea of the custom scales but realised i had no idea how to put a pair of scales on or make them
I was wondering if there is anyone one on this forum that i could pay to make me a pair of wooden or micarta scales and affix them to the blade
as i want to pay less than 150 pounds for the knife and the blank is 90 i have 60 pounds to spend.
    thanks
    max hill
    enjoy your day

Hi there, to be honest, for that kind of money you could have a custom handmade knife made.... There a quiet a few "blade smiths" on the forum, I had one made to my own design and spec by crazysaint222 of this parish... His craftsmanship is excellent, and he is only to willing to pass on help and advice..... I fitted the scales myself and shaped and sanded the handle to fit my hand as I have an issue with my grip.... It is reasonable easy to fit the scales, it just requires a little time and patience and I found it a rewarding and gratifying experience... I'll put a couple of links below of my knife, and some that Adam has for sale at the moment... http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/fo...The-SB-Stables

    cheers Ian....
